End Of Summer/Before Fall Style Ideas

Hello lovelies, before I start sharing my last few looks from the summer, I thought I’d share what I feel is now, my annual mood board for some pre-fall style and I know we are increasingly close to the autumn but there is always a transitional period before the weather officially turns. With that in mind, I selected some outfits that I found via Pinterest that I feel are great looks to lean into as we approach that in-between time, where dressing can feel a bit tricky. I hope you like my selection and it provides a source of inspiration for you in the same way it has for me. I have tried to credit the images where I can but that isn’t always when finding them via Pinterest.

Sending you love and light,

Happy Friday lovelies, I am determined to get this post live today! Here is a look with another one of my favourite purchases from this year, this green oversized shirt via The Frankie Shop. I’ve been wearing this piece a lot and have so many ways to style and wear it. As far as oversized shirt’s go, this one has been the best styles I have tried thus far, I also have it in pink too and I would love to get one in a crisp white. A lot of people when wearing an oversized item, like to balance out the excess material with a more fitted style, which does create a very flattering look and is the safest ways to approach wearing oversized style. But, that said I am big fan of mimicking the oversized shape and picking pieces that maximise the oversized look to its full potential. This isn’t a silhouette that appeals to everyone but I do like that, “I have no clothes, so I had to borrow everything from my boyfriend/brother/or dad” look! Another style I have been non stop wearing are these baggy jeans (last worn HERE) they have been such a great spring/summer staple for me and have been at the foundations of a lot of my looks over these last few months.

I hope you like today’s look. Wishing you a wonderful Friday.

Lighter Layers and Classic Styles

Arket Trench Coat – HERE Arket t-shirt – HERE COS Shirt – HERE Whistles Bag – HERE & Other Stories Jeans – HERE

Happy Tuesday lovelies, here is an outfit from this Spring. Here in the UK the lead up to summer hasn’t been the warmest and so light layering is something that is somewhat of a sartorial necessity in England. Back in the beginning of spring I finally got myself a spring coat in a linen and cotton material, perfect for colder spring and summer days. It’s a great classic piece and looks great with a variation of styles, I just can’t believe its taken me this long to actually buy one! Here I layered it over a light pink shirt (last styled Here) and kept it casually simple with dark blue denim. I mentioned Here, earlier in the spring that wearing my shirts open over simple tees is my favourite way of styling them right now and this also looks great with a coat, jacket or blazer on top to create a lightly layered look whilst still being conduit with the season. I hope you have a great start to your week. Sending you love and light, Daniella x

Spring Trends: The Return Of The Waistcoat

Happy Tuesday lovelies. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Here in the UK we were celebrating the queens platinum jubilee and we were lucky enough to have a four day weekend. Though the weather could have been better, it was a lovely few days and you can see some photos/videos over on my instagram account @lellavictoria.

This spring and summer, waistcoats seem to be having a bit of a moment and I am fully here for it. I have had a love for waistcoats for years and years, I think I get it from my mum because shes always loved them too! So, I pulled out this older green waistcoat of mine and styled it over a plain white tee, paired with straight jeans and finished of with this yellow linen blazer that I’ve had for a few years now and always look forward to breaking it out once the spring arrives. Yellow looks especially lovely this time of year, when all the dandelions and buttercups are flourishing in abundance. I personally love all these wild flowers and feel more towns and villages should embrace the growth of these instead of always mowing them down.

Anyway, I hope you like this look. Let me know what you think about waistcoats, I appreciate they aren’t to everyones taste but that’s not to say that they can’t be admired. Sending love and light your way, Daniella x

hey lovelies, today I thought I would share some style inspiration with the theme of green. I also thought I would share some of my favourite green pieces that are currently out there to buy. I think for the summer in particular these grassy greens looks so fresh and vibrant and adds an eye catching splash of colour to any outfit. I personally love how it looks with creamy whites, or deep navy, earthy browns and even pink for a more daring approach. Whether you want to try a head to toe green on green combo or something a little more subtle, then I hope this post can lend some inspiration to you.

Spring In Colour

Last summer for my birthday I bought this beautiful Ceffinn printed dress (see original photos HERE) and this spring I was very excited to get it back out and style it once again. As you can see I styled it with my green cardigan because I loved the extra splash of vibrant colour against the pretty print of the dress. Though I could have probably gotten away with wearing some open shoes with this look, I instead opted for my deep brown boots. The combination of the deep brown and the splash of green was the perfect compliment to the printed dress and allowed the print to really pop. Spring calls for colour and pretty prints and this was my way of styling both. One of my favourite things about the spring may not come as a surprise, as its pretty generic, and that’s because its the spring flowers but in particularly I adore all the sweet wild flowers that grow. I just adore the little pops and the gentleness of the these spring stems. Wishing everyone a wonderful new week.

What To Wear This Summer

Hey lovelies, I loving these spring days right now and considering I live in the UK, the rain hasn’t been too bad and we have actually been able to enjoy some sunny spring days. Looking ahead to the later days of spring and going into the summer, i’ve out together a style inspiration post with some of the images I’ve been saving on my Pinterest as of late. Splashes of green and orange offset by a bountiful of neutrals, long loose dresses in breathable materials and a touch of tailoring with waistcoats and wide leg trousers worn over chunky flip flops. Yes, these are some of styles I’ll be looking forward to this summer. How about you? I hope you can feel inspired by today’s post too.

Going For Green

How are we at Friday already? This week has flown by and I am hoping we are going to get a lovely spring weekend but we’ll see. This was outfit was from a few weeks ago and would you believe that the whole day I was wearing this outfit, it was sunny and warm and I ended up not needing to even wear my coat but when it came to shooting these photos in the early evening, the sun disappeared, it got cold and it was very almost too dark to shoot! I wasn’t overwhelmed with the photos but at least it was enough to capture the outfit.

I’m really enjoying this green combination right now, both the cardigan and t-shirt are old but have only just found their way to being styled together. Green is certainly having a moment in 2022 and though I like to keep an eye on trends and integrate them into my existing style if they feel right for me and my taste but I have to say I am particularly happy to see this colour become more popular amongst retailers and is a colour that seems to be much more accessible this year! Because as much as I enjoy this colour, I only have a few pieces in this brighter shade of green, as I couldn’t seem to find much of this colour in styles that I liked in previous years. If you like today’s look, I have picked out some similar pieces that you can shop below.

Well, wishing you happy Friday and wonderful weekend,

Daniella x

A Nod To The Nineties

Hey lovelies, and i’m back with an outfit that we photographed at the beginning of Spring. I know I am still wearing a coat, boots and a knitted sweater but as long as I am not wearing a beanie, gloves and/or a scarf, then as far as I am concerned it’s spring-appropriate! We really have had some lovely sunny weather but that doesn’t always mean its warm but nevertheless, if there is one thing we brits love, it’s lots and lots of sunny days, God knows we have enough rainy ones. I feel as though today’s look is a little more 90s inspired, the oversize camel coat, the oval sunnies and the light wash denim all have a nostalgic feel. I was a kid of the nineties and so I didn’t get to do the adult trends, so i’m more than happy to revisit them now and that really is the greatest thing about today’s style climate, its that we have all the eras available to tap into any time we want and it doesn’t matter if its on trend or not because it’s an expression and an appreciation of style.

Well, I hope you like today’s outfit. Sending you love and light,

Daffodils Of Yellow and Knitwear Of Blue

Arket Cardigan – HERE Arket T-Shirt – HERE COS Trousers – HERE Arket Coat – HERE Leather Bag – HERE

Happy Monday lovelies, I hope your weekend was a lovely one. I was stuck in bed with a horrid virus! But its that time of year where there is a lot going around, I always seem to get unwell in the beginning of spring. Anyway speaking of spring and spring truly is in bloom and so I just had to take some outfit photos in front of the beautiful daffodils before daffodil season is over because we all know they come and seem to go so quickly. When we took these photos, it was just a few days before the spring equinox but to me, this really felt like the first day of spring. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and all the daffodils and crocuses in all their purple glory were looking truly beautiful. After the long winter months, it was amazing to see all this vibrancy of colour.

With spring in the air I felt it was about time to transfer this renewed sense of energy into my outfit and I did this by bringing in some brighter hues, which in todays case was with a combination of sky blues. Sometimes it can be tricky to transition from winter to spring because though everything looks and feels brighter, it can still be carrying some chilly winds but this is why I find that when we are starting to transition our outfits at this time of year, integrating some brighter hues can be a great way to lift some of our more wintery pieces whilst giving a nod to the arrival and presence of spring. I hope you like todays outfit.

Wishing you a wonderful week and sending you love and light, Daniella x
